Our one rule

We don't do repairs. On purpose.

“We do not offer any repair work, so you can rest assured that our septic services will be completed without any conflicts of interest.”

A septic company that also sells repairs has a reason to find something wrong. Ryan doesn't. When he inspects your tank for a sale, a permit or a lender, the report is about your system, not his next job. If you do need a repair, you'll know exactly what to ask for, and you can get quotes from anyone you like.

How a visit goes

From the call to the clean-up

  1. 1

    You call or text

You reach Ryan, not a call center. Reviewers call him “very easy to contact over text and phone.” Tell him what's going on and where the property is.

  2. 2

    You get a real time

Same-day and next-day visits show up again and again in the reviews. One customer got a call because Ryan was running early.

  3. 3

    The job, done clean

Tank located, opened, pumped or inspected. Reviewers keep using the same words: “clean and neat,” “cleaned up after work.”

  4. 4

He shows you what he found

“Gave me good explanations of everything to do with septic tanks.” You'll know the state of your system and when to call again.

Questions people ask Ryan

All questions and septic care tips
Do you do septic repairs?

No, and that's on purpose. Ryan's Pumping Service does inspections and pumping only. Because we never sell the repair, an inspection report from us has no conflict of interest behind it.

How often should a septic tank be pumped?

The EPA's general guidance is to have the system inspected at least every three years and the tank pumped every three to five years. Tank size, household size and what goes down the drains all change that. Ryan can tell you what he sees in your tank when he's there.

How fast can you come out?

Reviewers regularly mention same-day and next-day visits. When you call or text, Ryan will give you an actual time. If something's backing up, call (408) 763-0914 and say it's an emergency.

Which areas do you cover?

Santa Clara, San Mateo, Santa Cruz, San Benito and Monterey counties, from our base in Gilroy.
